Who am I

I'm a software developer and teacher at the Bit Academy.
Most of my experience is in web development.
In my profesional work I have also done many smaller project with other modern and inovative technologies such as creating custom microcontrollers, programming BLE beacons, implementing OCR and traning computer vision models.

What do I enjoy

There are multiple technologies I enjoy working with.
Most things I try to understand from first principles, which has led me to keep up with modern inclusions in JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Some examples are the ES6 syntax, web components and fun HTML elements like details/summary and template.
I like using Regex especialy with unicode categories and backreferences.
For my fullstack web development I have worked with React (native), Angular, Spring boot, Laravel using mostly MySQL and PostgreSQL.

Motivation

Currently I'm building Motivation, a self-hosted personal dashboard as a PWA in vanilla web components, using a lot of modern webbrowser API's.
It uses a service worker for offline-first, a web worker with a SQLite replica in OPFS that syncs to my home server, barcode scanning through the camera and Web Push for notifications.
It also uses a sideloaded Kotlin app to bridge to Android Health Connect.
At home I run a local LLM for in app features like estimating meal nutrition from photos and/or descriptions.
